Life has handed me more than a few piles of lemons, but it’s always been my faith and commitment to movement that helped me turn them into lemonade. Pilates is my way of staying grounded—nurturing my body, mind, and spirit. That’s why I created the Élan Pilates Studios Method—to help others shape strong bodies and joyful hearts.

Jenn Jacobs
My Pilates Story
Jenn started Pilates as a professional dancer and choreographer to maintain length and flexibility. However, after suffering a fracture in her cervical spine and experiencing bulging and degenerating discs in her lumbar spine, Pilates played a crucial role in her long recovery and in maintaining her spine's overall health. Jenn has worked with professional and Olympic athletes, individuals in post-rehab or with risk factors, and she loves inspiring people to connect with and enjoy their bodies. She understands, firsthand, the emotional impact that chronic pain and limited mobility can have, and she enjoys educating and motivating clients to move more efficiently and appropriately, tailored to their individual needs.

My Pilates Story
I started doing Pilates back in 2006—way before it was trendy—because of ongoing back pain. As a singer, my voice teacher recommended it for breath support and body strength, and I was hooked right away. I got certified soon after and have been sharing it ever since. I’ve worked in fitness for over 20 years—from NASM-certified Personal Trainer to YogaWorks 200-hour Instructor—but Reformer Pilates is where I feel most at home. I’ve taught everyone from seniors to new moms to athletes and weekend warriors. Pilates helps every body build strength, awareness, and confidence, and I love guiding people to feel empowered and connected in their movement.

I started my fitness journey at a very early age, but it wasn’t until after I had my daughter that I became interested in Barre and the incredible results and benefits I experienced firsthand. I became certified in Barre and then shortly thereafter I got my Pilates certification and have been teaching group fitness for the last 12 years. Teaching Barre and Pilates has opened up a new world to me and has allowed me to not only grow as a person but to help others reach their full potential both with their personal and fitness goals. My classes are for all levels as I will help you push yourself through proper form, technique, and a little bit of laughter.

I come from a corporate background and always loved pilates. However, I hadn't considered teaching until after I had my son. My priorities shifted and I realized that, not only was my time now precious, but my physical and emotional health was too. I decided to pursue my pilates teaching certification and have felt a sense of strength and peace ever since. My classes are inclusive, lively, and challenging in the best way. I want everyone to walk out of my class feeling happier and stronger than when they walked in.

I started practicing Pilates in 2016 and knew from the first class that I had found my passion and happy place. Pilates allowed me to thrive through adversity, challenge myself daily, and achieve goals that I set professionally, personally, and physically. The reformer is a place where stressors get smaller and you get stronger.
I spent years recruiting family and friends into Pilates and knew when the time allowed, I’d pursue becoming an instructor. Finally, in 2024, I decided it was time to pour my heart into this passion hobby and achieve my long-term dream of becoming a Pilates instructor. My goal in this pursuit is to establish grace, confidence, and inner power for clients as so many instructors have done for me. I believe Pilates is every form of therapy condensed into a one-hour flow, and there is no better time to start than today!

I started practicing Pilates 21 years ago after having my second child. As a full-time mom working in fashion retail, I needed an exercise routine that would support me long-term. After trying many popular fitness methods, nothing felt right—until I found Pilates. It transformed my mental and physical health, and eventually, my career.
After five years of devoted practice, I knew Pilates was something I would do for life. That realization inspired me to become an instructor. I completed my teacher training with Club Pilates in 2014 and have been teaching full-time ever since.
My clients call me “Sergeant Lisa” because my classes are cheerful, challenging, and always safe and fun. I’m inspired every day by the strength and commitment I see in my clients. My philosophy is simple: I’m here to challenge you; you’re here to listen to your body and do your best.

I grew up as a competitive gymnast, so movement has always been part of my life. After becoming a certified fitness trainer and group instructor, I discovered Pilates—and everything clicked. It improved my posture, mobility, and overall confidence in a way nothing else had. That’s when I knew I wanted to teach it. Pilates is more than a workout; it’s a way to feel truly connected to your body. My goal is to help others feel that same strength and alignment, not just physically but mentally too. Through intentional movement, we build more than muscles—we build confidence, energy, and the ability to move through life with ease.
